are at a difference of ten minutes walk. You can see several subterranean
settlements in the multi-layered cities. The architecture and the overall
concept will simply blow away your mind. You can find separate structures like
churches, cellars, stump shops, and dining halls here. You can see miimum 150
to 200 settlements of different sizes in this site.
Ihlara Valley
This
valley has a stunning natural landscape and is a sight for sore and tired eyes.
The landscape has the Melendez River flowing amidst the valley, with trees
bordering both sides. This 4k hike offers stunning visual sights, which will be
a soothing balm to your soul. This is a flat hike, and hence anyone can attempt
this trek. You can see picturesque churches and homes made out of cave rocks.
Pigeon valley
The
next stunner in the line is the Pigeon Valley. This valley offers a 4km route
from the Cappadocia hikes. This hike begins from the town center and finishes
at the Uchisar Castle. The abundant flight of pigeons is the principal aspect,
which has given the name of this valley. On the way, you can see the
spectacular rock formations and the panoramic natural views.
Selime Monastery
This
monastery is at the end of Ihara Valley. This monastery has a stately presence
and is one of the central figures in religious architecture. The origins of
this monastery dates back to 9th Century BC. The insides of the monastery has a
well laid out and well planned architecture with different spaces for different
purpose. This stable looks similar to the Open Air Museum. However, you will
find very little traffic in the space due to its difficult trek. Our guides can
help you witness the trek and its various attractions in minute detail.
